Picnic Lady

If there is something I enjoyed a lot this summer, all things considered, is going to the park. Never have I ever spend this much time either cycling or taking in the sunshine at all the parks London has to offer. But hey, silver linings am I right?

Going for a picnic or taking your bike doesn’t mean you have to leave your style behind, though. A proper set up requires a proper outfit, or else look at the Scandis, they got it right.

So, here’s my take on the classic picnic day. A good Parisian check blanket and a straw basket (that you can attach to your bike! Mine is available here) to bring all your picnic goodies and a classic 50s style look to salute all your friends. Hope you like it!

WHAT I WORE (or similar!):

Wearing Red For CNY

In a recent post I told you guys about how much art therapy and colour therapy has helped me through this pandemic. Wearing colourful and vibrant colours makes me feel happy and so when I found out Chinese New Year was coming, it only gave me more reason to wear one of my favourite colours: Red.

In Chinese culture, Red is a popular colour that symbolises luck, joy, and happiness. It also represents celebration, vitality, and fertility and many brides wear is as ward off evil. How cool is that?

The day to celebrate the New Year arrived and I partner with my new best friends at Hurr -the airbnb of fashion in London- to dress up for the occasion: a Giambatista Valli gown. From the minute I put this dress on til I took it off, I felt like a princess. Not only it fave me fiery power, I felt good in it. And by renting it I helped a little bit to keep a sustainable planet whilst loving fashion. Woop woop! What a great way to start the Lunar New Year.

As I wasn’t ready to let go off the dress so quickly (I had it in my possession for five days, after all), I decided to go for a walk in the hood and capture its beauty. I hope you feel it as much as I do.

Stay Safe,

Buying clothes that aren't black is sometimes a challenge. However, I don't know what's happened to me lately but all I want to do is wear simple but BOLD outfits. Color-blocking, mainly. Reds, Yellows, Purples, and today, as we speak, BRIGHT YELLOW.

Worry not! Pantone has decided bright yellow is the color of 2021 (along with Pandemic grey, boo) so if anything I think my color choice was rather appropiate today! And even if it weren’t that’s also ok. As long as we enjoy ourselves that’s all it matters. Plus turning heads it's one of my favourite past times in London.

Some feared this trend dialing up but to be honest, I am loving it. Bring on the fluor! And if it’s a yellow-y color (or rather, lime) it’s even better.

Whether it’s in my clothes or in flashing lights, I love neon. And in a city like London, where grey reigns your everyday life, you need some color to jazz things up. Why not make that color fluor?

I agree not all colors would be flattering in this instance, but a yellow or a green neon #OOTD can look pretty badass, if you choose right.

On my last trip home to Barcelona, I had a mum-daughter shopping day (our favorite kind of day) and we’ve encountered many high street shops rocking those colors. So we caved in. And here’s the result! Mix and match and you’ll be the queen of street fashion. And yes, I have a snoopy bag.

I LOVE IT!
