Brighton, Vitamin Sea

I just had the most amazing weekend.
Where? Brighton!
The occasion? My friend Joan's Hen Do (obviously). 

It has been my second little adventure out of London and I've got to admit it was lots of fun. Brighton is only an hour away from London and yet it is so different. We head there on Friday after work and the minute we put foot on land I felt I was in another country. Such a cute, friendly little place.

We got a beautiful penthouse by the pier through airBnB and the place could not have been better. Stunning sea side views and perfect location, what else could we ask for? Since Saturday was going to be our big day we decided to stay in the house and treat ourselves to some nice mexican food and drinks while playing lots of hen-do games (yes, very girly, I know!). 

Saturday day was pamper day. We head to The Grand for a fantastic spa treatment followed by a superb afternoon tea at Hotel Seattle. At first we were skeptical of the second hotel since the entrance was not the nicest. However, once you are in it is a lovely place with brilliant views to the harbor. Food and service were really good and you don't feel that ripped off when the bill comes, even if you add prossecco to the menu (yikes!). After our second #treatyourself experience we got changed and went to paint the town red. 

We had dinner at THE BEST Spanish restaurant I've tried in England so far (and that's a lot coming from a Spaniard) called Olé Olé while listening to some exciting Flamenco music and dance. The rest of what we did I will keep to myself but I will just say that it was the perfect girls night out (which ended with a pit-stop at Burger King, classy). 

#SundayFunday came along and we had brunch at Smokeys -Foodies who love big portions, this is your place- and then walked by the beach and through the pier (a must).

To conclude: the town, the good weather and the good times with the girls made this weekend a walk to remember. I am definitely coming back.
