Dirty Bones, The Dogs are in Town
/My body is craving for some junk food (I am allowed, right?). But there's no need to feel guilty about it if you choose wisely where you are heading to. My choice of the week? The best hot dog place in London. What is it? Dirty Bones
Where is it? 20 Kensington Church Street, London W8 4EP
Why is it so good? As The Telegraph Luxury said, it's a gourmet hot dog kiosk by day and buzzing restaurant and cocktail lounge by night. I'm telling you, the place could not be better!
Inspired by a typical grunge american dinner, Dirty Bones will provide you with the best hot dogs in town. The place is located in a basement in Kensington Church St, so you probably have walked past it without realizing what you are missing out.
Their deco is stunning, very retro, which gives the restaurant the cool yet hipster vibe everyone loves. The staff is super friendly (at least when I was there!) which is also a plus.
Their menu isn't vast but that's how I like it. When a restaurant has few dishes, it usually means all of them are REALLY good. And the rule of thumb applied this time! I tried The Dirty Dog with chilli fries as a side, and it was tremendously good. They also have amazing starters (e.g: fried chicken wings) and they also make burgers, but if I were you I would stick to the hot dogs selection. After all, this is a hot dog restaurant. I also paired my meal with some drinks, which made the final bill a bit more expensive than expected. If you skip the booze, you are in for a treat (money wise). To finish our delightful evening, we decided to try one of their desserts. O-M-G, the desserts! Peanut Butter Cookie Cup. Shall I say more? The dream. Perfect Sugar Coma.
So there you go, grab your phone and make a reservation now!
